At Culverhouse Day Nursery we provide an exciting and child centred programme of activities covering all areas of the curriculum. Our nursery staff are highly experienced in planning activities and preparing resources to enhance your child’s development. We promote the ethos of the “Birth to Three Matters” initiative which is a child centred curriculum for babies and toddlers. We offer new and exciting experiences for all age groups.

The Foundation Phase centres around a curriculum based on exploration and discovery, staff promote outside provision and the children will play outdoors in all weather. Parents are requested to provide spare clothes and wellies! 

Through experimental play children in our toddlers and pre-school groups will be encouraged to develop their enquiring minds, through child centred curriculum based on the desirable learning outcomes and the seven areas of learning. These are as follows:-

1. Personal, social and emotional development.
2. Physical development.
3. Language, literacy and communication development.
4. Mathematical development.
5. Creative development.
6. Knowledge and Understanding of the World.
7. Multi-culturalism and bilingualism.

We also look at Moral and Spiritual development.  Copies of individual curriculum plans are available for all parents.
